Parents, I apologize for not being able to

practice but students need to keep working on number tricks and memory facts!

 

PRACTICE TIMES: (We meet in room B117)

TUES  4:25 - 4:45 pm

THURS 8:00 - 8:20 am

 

Elementary NS - 6th Grade   Middle School NS - 7th and 8th Grade

 

As for now I will share some basics of number sense for you to start practicing.

 

1. Memorize squares of numbers 1-30.

2. Memorize cubes of numbers 1-10.

3. Memorize decimal and percent equivalents of all fractions 1/n for                   numbers 2-16.  

4. Practice doubling and halfing 2 digit numbers.

5. Understand the properties of Real Numbers especially the Distributive

    Property.

6. Understand that Division can be renamed as Multiplication with the               Reciprocal of the Divisor. (We don't "keep it, change it, flip it")

7. Understand that Subtraction can be renamed as Addition with the                 Opposite. (We don't "add a line and change a sign!)
